The Parties are still going
strong at the Old Adobe.
We had several families from far away with little ones plus our own junior chefs to work with and this is what we did. We bought plenty of small size prepared crusts. We did saute some mushrooms and chicken sausage with basil & sun-dried tomatoes. We had jars of Maranara sauce that we put in a pot to heat.
We had a big bowl of shrimp with a squeeze of lemon and salt & pepper.
We had a mini mountain of grated cheese, both Monterey & cheddar.
We had some delicious herb crusted goat cheese and even some Brie.
We chopped and prepared many,
many bowls of exciting ingredients:
red onion, scallions, basil, parsley,
tomatoes, corn, peas, butternut squash,
avocado, peppers, and pineapple.
And then, we just let everyone loose to build their own!
Admittedly, we did see some bizarre combinations and some interesting single note variations like, "the parsley pizza"? But everyone was happy with their choices and it turned out that the pizza was the party!
And so all were pleased...tall & small.
How fun! I love that the pizza toppings were so inventive and unique.
By the way, House of Annie has moved to its own domain, http://www.houseofannie.com. I'd appreciate it if you changed the link in your blogroll to point to the new site instead of the old ChezAnnies on BlogSpot. Thanks!

A friend just turned me onto your site, and I live in Montecito. What fun with the pizza, I am actually having a pizza party next week. But this week I am writing about pork. Feel free to visit my site. Perhaps we'll cross paths at a Slow Food event.

This is my kind of party! We have pizza every Thursday and the best part is making it exactly the way we like. Perhaps we'll have to try Parsley Pizza! 8-)

This looks like loads of fun. Build your own pizza parties are a great way of satisfying so many people with so many picky tastes. Toppings are always a tough one, but everyone loves pizza :D
