Green Grape Bubbles & Carmel Walnut Cookies...

This is the story of a dinner party for 22 guests where the dessert was a miserable failure!  That is, the brioche, that was the base for the creation, did not rise correctly?  It would not be possible to work any kind of magic to make it ok??  We took a walk around the garden, in a trance, trying to think of something??  We sorted through the pantry and the fridge, even the freezer?  Nothing.  Then a little light bulb glimmered.  What about the green grape bubbles?  And we could make some little Caramel walnut cookies out of graham crackers?  Couldn’t we just save the day with this?

Well maybe so...you be the judge!

Recipe:

Green seedless grapes
Brown sugar
Sour cream
Liquor of choice (we used Grand Maniere)
Rose water or vanilla
Cinnamon graham crackers
White sugar
Water
butter
Crushed walnuts

(This dessert is so easy it’s pitiful!)
The quantities here can expand or contract as you wish.
Clean grapes and take them off the stem.  In a bowl
with pieces of paper towel dry them well and put in the fridge.
Next in another bowl place equal amounts of sour cream
and brown sugar, dash of the liquor of choice
and the rose water, then whisk until blended and put in the fridge.
Cut the cinnamon graham crackers into triangles with a very sharp knife.
Next in a small sauté pan put equal amounts of
white sugar and water.  Then, without stirring, cook on medium heat
until it is golden.  Now add a small knob of butter and stir
With a wooden spoon to make a nice sticky caramel sauce.
Quickly cover each side of the crackers in the caramel and
then place on the crushed walnuts.  Place the cookies on waxed paper to cool.

To serve, gently stir the grapes and sour cream mixture together.  Spoon into
goblets and garnish with the caramel walnut cookies...and voila!!!
